Golden Oak Families are invited to our BACK TO SCHOOL night, August 30. The evening will begin with an important Title 1 parent meeting in the cafeteria at 5:00 p.m. At 5:30, classroom doors will be opened and parents can learn about the GRRREAT year teachers have planned for our tigers. This is an event you won't want to miss!!

Hello Golden Oak Families!
We are excited to begin the 2016-17 school year! Everyone is working hard to make this the best year ever! As teachers begin training and lesson planning, it is becoming clear that they are in for great learning experiences this year!
Our Golden Oak staff is dedicated to continuous learning through professional development and the use of student and school achievement data to discover the most effective ways to teach our students. We have high expectations for our students, our colleagues, and ourselves, and know that through trust, hard work, and positive reinforcement of our collective strengths, Golden Oak students will continue to thrive.
Thank you for helping your children prepare for school by going to bed earlier - we are doing the same! Remember that the first day of school is on Wednesday, August 17th, and that it is a minimum day. TK-3rd are out at 12:30….4th-6th are out at 1:20.

At Golden Oak we feature College/Career Wednesday every week. We want our students to know every option available as they Dream Big and Work Hard, studying and learning valuable life skills! Golden Oak Elementary School lies in the western section of the City of Shafter and serves students in grades kindergarten through six. Originally named Richland Primary School, the students at the school participated in choosing the current name, Golden Oak Elementary School. The school operates on a traditional school calendar. Golden Oak Elementary School is committed to providing a strong instructional program for all students to ensure excellence in education.
